...how do teams like tusker and kcb create fan bases?apparently last season tusker games were the least impressive in terms of fan numbers, maybe they should put some incentive in gn to watch them,do a raffle or smthn e.g pik out a ticket no frm the crowd whoever is pikd gets free EABL products for a whole year ohh plus a medical cover, this guy should get creative, there is this documentary bt how the EPL waz boring during the 90s b4 it became the EPL,how the top tier clubs Man u,arsenal, chelsea and some few others worked on a way to hype it up and create sponsorship see where it has taken them (you can use it for your thesis,i know...thank me later)...creative thinking thats all we nid. Corporate teams like KCB and Tusker will never build a fan base. Tusker has been around for 4 decades and won many trophies yet has no fans. To put it simply , the public cannot relate to corporate teams. Especially if they are based in Nairobi.
KPL will grow when community teams like Nakuru All Stars, Kisumu Lakeside and Shabana make it back to the league. These are the teams that have potential to pull crowds.
As for Tusker and KCB, they should follow what Safaricom and Mumias Sugar have done. Instead of playing in the league, they should focus on sponsoring grassroots tournaments.
