Jitokezee tukuone! haha.

When MK stands up to speak, you feel this commanding and authoritative presence around him.> And Elder is standing.
Add a deep voice to that and all you can do is listen with a smile.
Some leaders speak noisily and their tenor voices make you thirst for fanta orange

Sprite actually. I rarely agree with you but on this one, we are on the same page.

When the solders started passing by, The Old Man actually put on a mischievous smile of pride.

You guys have really eaten salt. You actually listened and enjoyed Kenyatta's speeches?

That's patriotism.
I have always loved the parades since niwe mtoi.
Blame my dad cz hamngeona channel ingine when its was a national holiday.
Worse, he would explain the history over and over again.
So all those boring choirs and stuff bring back precious memories siwes miss.

@aem and @esikay are talking of Mwai Kibaki while @Mukiri is talking of Kenyatta or is it me that is slow?

Come to think of it.

I was ten years of age when the "eyes of the Nation" were closed at Mombatha.

Johnstone Kamau Muigai would do this thing with his fly whisk when the solder boys marched past that was soooo cool.

With his booming lion roar of a HAAARAAAAMBEEEE would always send chills crawling up my spine.
