Now what have you or do you intend to achieve in life? Google this guy's mad career and it might inspire you to 'aim for greater heights' in your life in whatever area you're good at. It sure has me inspired

Austrian skydiver and BASE jumper Felix Baumgartner has completed a freefall of more than 39,000 metres (128,000 feet) and potentially broken three world records in the process.

Baumgartner took over two-and-half hours to ascend to 39,044m (128,097 feet) in what was the world's highest manned balloon flight. But this was just the first of three world records Baumgartner broke today.

Speed:1,173km/h.

@2012,

I am a great fan of Baum and have been following his feats for a while.....Maximum velocity achieved in this jump was 1,342 km/h and not 1,173 as you have put....well,let's say all this is still subject to confirmation by FAI.....Simply said,he did speeds above those of sound .Did anything like a "boom" happen at that pointPray .....I will be interested to know but i must say dude is a daredevil!Pray
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

At what height in meters does the atmosphere end and the space begins?
Was he breathing freely or used a special suit?
How many minutes did he take to fall the height a distance from Thika to KICC?
The cameramen who took filmed the entire fall were themselves on what type of equipment?

@impunity,
To answer you,
1. The stratosphere starts at between 10 and extends to 60Kms.You can take the average as 18,000 metres depending.
2. At those heights,you would be dead within seconds without a special pressurized suit and helmet
3. Free fall took 4 mins and 20 secs while the rest was negotiated using a parachute.Total time to touch down was 9 Mins 3 secs.
4. Gatner had several cameras on himself;Helmet and chest.Others were on the helium balloon and the capsule which took him up.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
