City home owners face losses in suspect land deal -- Mui Imara estate

Ministry of Lands headquarters in Nairobi. The chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Public Investments Mithika Linturi on Thursday said plot No.209/11241 known as Muimara Estate, bordering Imara Daima estate on Mombasa Road, was irregularly acquired from the receiver managers of the collapsed Kenya National Assurance Corporation (KNAC). City home owners who bought plots on a 5.6 hectare land bordering Imara Daima estate on Mombasa Road risk losing their investment as it emerges that the land belongs to a collapsed insurer....

Sad state of affairs in land.. Cant imagine if its true.. coz that estate is well developed with nice looking houses.. almost all plots are developed

On the left headed to Tegla Loroupe Rd, Old Imara, from NCR terminus. 8 years later, no bulldozers in sight. I am now a landlord in the locale. Location in real estate is everything!
