How about getting into the digitisation of govt records? 1. Buy/import 3-4 OCR devices (maybe 30K each) 2. Successfully pitch your service to one or more public orgs. 3. Hire some dudes on a daily basis to convert paper records to digital (assuming you have computers already). That's my biz idea for the day.

@sonko Wasiku is spot on about charcoal as black gold. Charcoal can be made from the following Raw Material in the form of waste which is normally available for FREE! You can use the following: Sawdust, Twigs, Wood, Pinecones, Hay, Logs, Woodchips Organic Waste, Corn Cobs, Coconut Husks, Bamboo Dust, Peanut Shells, Sugarcane Bagasse, Cassava, Sunflower Waste, Tobacco Waste, Rice/Soya Bean Husks, Wheat Straw and Ground Shells etc.The profit potential from this venture is huge! You have 100k and expect net profit of 2500 per day..thats a bit of wishful thinking...but if you have land,I can advice you to buy 3 cows at 33k each...each cow gives you approximately 12 ltrs daily...that is 36ltrs in total daily and 1080 lts per month. Assuming each ltr costs ksh 40,you have an income of ksh43200...deduct 13200 as labour,food and all other expenses...30k per month means 1000 ksh per day.

Open a website and start accumulating African research reports,journals and books.People want to share the knowledge they have and their research and information from Africa from a centralized place will be a goldmine in coming years.
