*#&!*@!!!! Ati happy Moi day!!!! Happy Moi day kitu gani?BBK!!!NKT!!!

The only memories i have for this day, one Friday 10th somewhere in an NYS camp in Gilgil, is being surrounded by about 1500 silhoutes with very mean looking faces wearing black helmets, long black coats wielding massive batons on the right hand and bullet proof glass shields on the left...and then walking about 70km in the dead of the night...
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

It has never been on 14th October. Moi Day started on Friday 10th October 1988...It was meant to celebrate 10 years of "Moi Era"...

I have always viewed it as " Moi Error"..smile

The loyalty pledge every Friday

"I pledge my loyalty to the president and the nation of Kenya. My readiness and duty to defend the flag of our republic. My devotion to the words of our national anthem. My life and strength in the task of our nation’s building. In the living spirit embodied in our national motto – Harambee! And perpetuated in the Nyayo philosophy of peace love and unity."
