management and business development organization seeks to fill the position of: Freelance
Advertising Sales Executive – MANAGEMENT magazine.
We are looking for an outgoing, passionate, driven and innovative sales person who is
looking for an exciting challenge and career in sales based in Mombasa.
JOB PROFILE
The job will involve marketing and selling advertising space in the MANAGEMENT
magazine, a monthly publication of KIM circulated in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. The
successful candidate will be required to proactively engage clients and sell them advertising
and marketing solutions available in the magazine. This position reports functionally to the
Head of Sales based in Nairobi and administratively to the Branch Manager – Mombasa. The
candidate will be part of a dynamic sales team and will work on a freelance arrangement
earning a lucrative commission from all advertising sales made.
MANAGEMENT magazine is a premier publication in East Africa that focuses on business,
leadership and management issues. It is published 11 times a year and targets managers and
entrepreneurs in public and private organisations. The magazine is distributed by Nation
Marketing and Publishing and sold in retail outlets in East Africa.
PERSON PROFILE
Knowledge, skills and experience required;
· A Degree/diploma in sales and marketing
· At least two years experience in selling media or advertising space for broadcast or
print media
· Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills
· Able to work as part of a team
· Aged between 23-40 years
· Self-driven, creative and solution-oriented with ability to proactively come up with
unique sales concepts
· Knowledge of the Mombasa business environment
· Ability to network and make presentations
