Was there ever an ethnic question? Or you still believe those urban myths that this is a Central Kenya Organization? This is a private sector business not a political party or a parastatal where such issues are always on the table. The private sector usually goes for the best.

on 27.9 i attended a functon that Kip was the Guest of honour. What pleasantly surprised me - he arrived at the venue 15 mins before slotted time. His down to earth demenour left many surprised... taking ketepa just like everyone inspite of the host trying to steer him away from Gatembura! Most memorable was his speech. Nothing to read, but everyone was super attentive. Finally to drive the point home, Kip unleashed a video to cap his remarks .... the little blue dot. was impressed!

Ethnicity does not come into every facet of life. Shareholders are interested in bottom-line. Customers are interested in good services. Does it matter who delivers that? IMHO CAPITAL NO.

In public sector may be some semblance of ethnic balance may need to be maintained for everyone to be deemed to have participated. But in private sector meritocracy should be the guiding principle

We all want Equity to get the succession right, I believe they will. Just like for Safcom, when Bob took over, his style was different and this is what we will get for Equity. The key point will be how prepared the successor will be to take the bank to continued growth.

...truth be told,its the structures that MJ created way back that are still working...if Bob wud have bin the 1 to start scom it wud hv done badly.
