Hi i saw an advert for the design for the dualling of this road. This general area has been fairly attractive to the middle class, though the jams in this place are off putting, but its dualling will cut travel times by over half.

The road from KWS HQ to Bomas is already being dualled. As long as one isn't suckered into buying a plot on the road reserve i see an return on an investment in land and / or rental housing at hundreds of percent.

@Maka

I guess when you say CBD you mean Nairobi CBD, Its 42 Km from Nrb CBD to Thika town.
Thika has now grow to be a big town and plots varies for example a 1/4 Acre of plot in Ngoigwa can go up to 2M, 3M in Riverside side Estate/Section 9, 800K in Landless/Makongeni area.
....He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion..

...http://www.distance-calculator.co.uk/miles-from-nairobi--kenya-to-kiserian--kenya.htm land the same distance as thika town (42kms) while going towards magadi town is going for around 650k per acre...with the dualling of that road and opening it up,where would you invest for mo returns?land in 1994 waz going at 120k per acre at kiserian,if you are lucky to get an acre now you will part wth around 8m,thats a 6000 plus percentage increase,300% plus annual growth even if you factor in inflation.
