Talking about direct translations, a colleague of mine was telling me about some day he was late for school in his primary school days.

The school rules forbade them from speaking mother tongue in school. But they were free to choose between English and Kiswahili.

Teacher: Why are you late?

Boy: Ng'ombe yetu ilikuwa na harufu

and what did the tisha say?

"hoo, sasa imepandwo ni daktari?"

Last weekend, the younger Kibaki placed himself on a collision course with Ms Wambui when he wen public that the President had
endorsed Mr Mugambi to
succeed him in Othaya.
“The President told me not to go to church today but to come here and campaign for Mr Mugambi,” he told a
series of rallies in Iriaini
location on December 23.
Jimmy also said his father
had told TNA leader Uhuru Kenyatta that his choice of successor was Mr Mugambi.

Jimmy should just go head to head with the 'activist'. Hii mambo ya kucampaignia wengine awache.
