Its true this guy was a real waste jana. He should have converted two clear chances. another usesless guy to the team is Diaby, too slow for the tit tat of gunners. i wish wenger had removed him ealier in the second half.

otherwise the gunners played very well. much better than the former noise makers.

But your 2nd statement is not true. price and quality are not always directly proportional.

Former noise makers are winning games with poor performances - that's the difference.

Granted goons are playing well and look to finally have some steele against tough opposition (read City) but for how long the consistency lasts only time and injuries or lack of will tell. But thank you for shaving a point off City. Please do the same next weekend against Chelsea

“If Shelvey gets sent off for having both feet off the ground then Evans has to get sent off for that as well if you watch the replays." Brendan Rodgers

@ Smano, i totally agree with Rodgers on that one. Evans might have won the ball but it was still a two-footed tackle.....we've seen so many players sent of for that kind of tackle. Just because he didn't connect with Shelvey's foot doesn't make it less dangerous. Johnny Evans amezoea, last year he broke Stuart Holden's leg (Bolton) in a similar tackle and was sent off for it.

The one for Stuart Holden was bad, hio sijakataa but I want to see the day a ref sends off two players for those lunges - that day I'll buy you and Brendan a beer

@ Um Sayala.....Gervinho is not a liability, his movement with the ball is good but he needs to work on his final touch. As for Diaby, he's still struggling with his fitness after being out for so long but he has already shown what he's capable of at his best. Anyway Wilshere is expected back anytime from now so that will be sorted out soon. Rosicky and Sagna are also expected back in the next two weeks.

@ Smano, if i were you i would be more concerned with Man Utd's next 5 league fixtures against Spurs, Newcastle, Stoke, Chelsea and Arsenal (with CL matches in between).

Brendan is simply trying to say that Shelvey's tackle was not any worse than Evans, the ref only looked at the tackle from one angle.

GFF!Anxious d'oh!

I knew about Spurs and Newcastle, had not seen beyond. Hapo there'll be dropped points for sure.If we can go through that period without a loss I'll take it - I insist 2 losses is too early at this stage. Defensive injuries will play key role

.

@Taz... I agree that his movement is good, but he looks selfish, does not share the ball, and does not shoot right.
On Diaby, did you notice our game positively changed after his exit?. we were faster and that added more PSI on city till we got the goal. Diaby is more of holding MF(Mid fielder) and not attacking one. He needs to be played when already arsenal is leading with a bigger margin, and the aim is only to have possession, IMHO.

The 5th official as usual puts it with all the humor it deserves...

....and that is even accounting for the presence of Gervinho, who on this form makes Olivier Giroud look prolific.

I don't think those five fixtures are trouble for United. They provide solid opponents, but United is United. I'm actually looking forward to these matches. For us, like we showed against Liverpool, we can actually win we people least expect, kwani iko nini? We normally send Spurs to the cleaners, Newcastle may be tricky but we can get past them, Stoke are a surprise party, Chelsea are faltering as well. And as for Arsenal, well, we've been there before, haven't we?
