Counties in Kenya will develop differentially depending substantially, on the leaders in office, their vision and the strategies they put in place to achieve them. Me thinks healthy competition among counties on various fronts like agriculture, health care, education, environmental protection, Urban planning, Infrastructure, Sports e.t.c will be a good thing for this country, even though, most of these sectors are still supported by the Central Government. It could potentially be used to drive people from focussing on tribal lines.

Having looked at various county websites, I rate Laikipia County as No. 1. Could this be an indicator of things to come? It will be an interesting space to watch.
