Real Madrid Vs Man City at the santiago bernabeu, they never come bigger than this at the group stages, with Mo's worst league start ever I'm expecting a tight interesting game!!!

Real Madrid to beat Shitty despite the poor start they've had in La Liga. Shitty about to experience the wounded lion syndrome. They'll concede at least two goals.

I thought as much!!!

I called it. But what a 2nd half, Jose's reverse psychology worked to a tee...the attitude of the Real players was beyond reproach from start to finish and their response after going down twice said it. Hart looked like he'd keep them out the whole night but alas!Mancini conceded that the injuries to Maicon and Nasri meant he could not put in Aguerro but I think City were too cautious from the start, Yaya's powerful runs brought a goal from Dzeko and almost added a 2nd, he should have been doing that from the start. They have all to do it when Dortmund come to Etihad next time, another loss and they'll be staring at another group stage exit.

I wanted Man Utd to avoid Spanish teams in the group stage and after Malaga's performance and the way Real dominated the stats, I am convinced.

PSG are looking ominous with Thiago and Zlatan, first player to score for 6 different sides in the CL proper.Milan's decline as shown by a scoreless draw at San Siro will highlight PSG's rise even more.

Arsenal survived poor finishing from the french in the second side.

On to day two.

Arsenal had a really poor performance in the second half, we gave Montpellier too much space especially in the midfield. Diaby was a bit reckless and didn't quite seem comfortable with the ball.....the yellow card he received in the first minute of the game probably had something to do with that. The good news is that Podolski is turning out to be our main man this season and Gervinho's performance has really improved.

Hopefully Buttner's performance this past weekend will give Evra the motivation he requires though I won't be surprised if he's left out - he was the single dominant weakness in the draw and defeat to Basel last season. Fergie said he doesn't want the mistakes of last season to be repeated and he'll put a squad to reflect that. Let's wait and see

But of all Mo's celebrations, the best/worst of them all was the UCL game MAN u VS Porto at old Trafford (should be in 2004) where the results were 2-2. His celebration of the 2nd equalizing goal was masterclass, out of this world and in a class of its own. His frame + the long coat diving it to players at the corner/flag post and all will remain in my memories for ever!

and people said rvp=arsenal!..the gooners are playing better now as a team not the one man show. Not forgetting Podolski and Cazorla buys..totally worth it. Watch out as the season unfolds, they jus reloaded the cannon!

Man Utd very lucky - that defence is still not compact though good to see Fletcher back (from stima), Barca had some scary moments - Messi to the rescue, Bayern underperformed. Can't wait for day 2.
