Did the by-elections confirm this? I say not necessarily. By-elections are sometimes chances for the voter to vote in the best candidate(in their opinion). Remember Makadara and Juja? Despite PNU bigwigs campaigning for Wathika and Thuo, NARC-K took both seats. Did this mean support for NARC-K and Martha? NO.

Also, Ndhiwa and Kangema are in the 2 strongholds for the 2 main candidates. Kajiado North is the only seat that can be used to gauge the mood as it is cosmopolitan. But still...

The clearest indication that I am getting is that ODM will be the main party in parliament in the next elections whether Raila wins the presidency or not. ODM is now a formidable political party with clear focus and a solid constituency plus pockets scattered all over the republic. The other side is full of so many small parties which will hardly get any support outside their home zones. They will get a few seats here and there but which combined will be more than chungwa's but chungwa will remain the biggest.

Maximum respect to chungwa! I hate the way some guy left the oldest party to jump into a moribund party and made it move to the league of the main parties. I would have preferred to have more or less the same parties we've had since 92 contesting.

On another another note, I've heard that Mr. TNA will be vying for Senator in Kiambu and is just building a base for himself which he will later sell to some guy...

Ruto has all the reasons to be worried in Eldoret town.Infact if in the new electoral boundaries if there is a constituency known as Eldoret town basi hata Ruto hawesmek huko.
@All the three constituencies went as expected only for Kajiado north, dint expect the margin between the winner and the runners up to be that big coz on the ground Massaais had a borne to grind with sakuda having felt that he let them down from the time he dropped his election petition and got appointed to some board thru the patronage of the late prof.
I think TiNA's big wigs have learnt the lessons of splitting votes.
Have to live with it kamwana is a force to reckon with and write him off at your own peril.Wiver no Vaa.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
