Iniesta performed very well at Barca and he was Spain's main man at the Euros. @ Maichblack, CR and Messi tied for second

Andres Iniesta has been one of the most overlooked imperial creative midfielders for the past 3 seasons and what more fitting way to recognize him than in the midst of the season where the two goal scoring machines had their most prolific seasons to date. Enough said!

By the way @smano, who came in second? I never watched the event.

Iniesta - 19 votes
Messi & CR7 - 17 votes each

I think it was too difficult for anyone to separate Messi and CR7 - if you have watched the program that has been airing on SuperSport for the past couple of months or so called Matador's of La Liga then you'd know exactly what am taking about. It shows the performances of both players in the first 28 La Liga games of last season where they both featured for their teams. Absolutely phenomenal! Both won a trophy each and broke the scoring records, both reached the Cl semis. Who do you pick? Granted CR7 took Portugal to the Euro semis but Iniesta won it, and he was unnoticed orchestrator of the Barca and Spain midfield. A worthy winner in my eyes

And the Champions League matches just got juicier even before the first kick of the ball.

Zenit St. Petersburg have let the money do the talking by signing both Axel Witsel and Hulk for a combined fee of €80 million! Now the Ac Milan - Zenit game is suddenly one not to miss [despite the apparent weakening of AC Milan over the summer].

Were Zenit even mentioned in the speculation over where Hulk and Witsel would ply their trade next??? That is what is called the power of the £¥$€

Let the Money Do the Talking!!!

European soccer's governing body (UEFA) revealed the first sanctions under its financial fair play rules on Tuesday, announcing it is withholding prize money for 23 clubs because of their failure to comply with the new rules.

The clubs, all participating in 2012/13 UEFA club competitions, were found to have overdue payments to other teams, their own employees or social/tax authorities and their payments would be withheld subject to further investigation, UEFA said in a statement.

Among the clubs under investigation are Manchester United and Chelsea of England, Atletico Madrid and Malaga of Spain, Portugal's Sporting, Dinamo Bucharest and Rapid Bucharest of Romania and Turkey's Fenerbahce.

UEFA approved the introduction of the far-reaching financial fair play rules in 2009 in a bid to reduce debt and introduce better and more transparent financial dealings among clubs playing in its competitions.

Transfer fees and outgoing payments have been monitored since the start of the 2011/12 season with clubs tasked with breaking even in 2012 and 2013 and being assessed during the 2013/14 season. (Source: Reuters)

Real Madrid Vs Man City at the santiago bernabeu, they never come bigger than this at the group stages, with Mo's worst league start ever I'm expecting a tight interesting game!!!

Real Madrid to beat Shitty despite the poor start they've had in La Liga. Shitty about to experience the wounded lion syndrome. They'll concede at least two goals.

My wish would be a draw, something like 3-3, several cards and hopefully one of the cards to CR7.

The Real vs City match up is made all the more interesting by the fact that the 2 sides have never met in their history so there are no stats to fall back to. I think Real will be keen to respond to their critics after their poor La Liga start and playing a big team like City will provide all the more motivation. I see Real edging it but I'm sure City will get an away goal or two.

Chelsea vs Juve and Bayern vs Valencia should also be very mouth watering clashes tomorrow
