OMG! This guy I must visit this farm.
I couldn't believe when I was told he owns a plane just for this biz.
A Custom made kuku aeroplane!! Pray will be landing in Muiga airstrip.
What's more? he imports his vifaranga from Netherlands at sh.1200 per chick!!Pray

And sells at how much?

Not disclosed. The reporter asked us to figure it out ourselves!
But this is not your ordinary kuku which lays maybe a tiny dirty egg per week!
Must be very high quality like Murungarus cows.
Now I understand why he was selling chicks to villagers and re buying them when fully grown!
Only he could afford the price and export.
And that improved their livelihood.

Ngatho! is it the golden goose laying golden eggs?
These ones must be insured properly because the loss of one is enough to cost one's job.

There is a farmer in R.Valley whose cows are played for Jazz to stimulate the udder into producing more milk. The music he said has a calming effect and once relaxed the cows produce milk like nobody's biz.

I imagine these kukus of Thuo doing a mugithi as they lay eggs.
Muugithi ya Nguku.

And what is the diff btwn eating Thuo's kuku and the crazy one with 2 feathers, pimples on skinny long neck and walking like they have jiggers?
More protein or what? I must go find out.

Go to 3.28 and listen.300k per kuku after maturity!
Mi sina words.
I think he has factored in all costs from slaughtering/packing/tests by concerned bodies/certification & documentation plus freight.

KSh.300,000? Does the kuku lay 10 eggs per day?
Is there any reasonable way to calculate this?

But his Biachara is not for eggs.
His kukus are bred for meat only.
Once they lay eggs, they are taken to the hatchery to hatch. And the cycle continous.
Now you can see how he manages to keep these quality kukus to himself cz he will not sell the eggs!well I wouldn't either.

How to calculate? I think a kuku lays an egg per minute.Maybe 1,440 eggs per day per kuku.

And rem they mature in 5 months weighing good kilos.smile
