The threat continues, tactics change and Wahabism metamorphoses. There is high likelihood that Kenya will be the next theatre for Al Shaabab (evolving to Munadamat Ihyaul Somaliya) and Al Qaeda activities in the E.A and horn of Africa region. What with a neutered policing regime and an ambivalent judiciary? The time is ripe and ground ready. There is also an apparent change of guard at the helm of the Kenya AQ helm.

Quick cross checking reveals that the Abu Qatada referred to on the website is not a Kenyan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Qatada; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16584923;
http://www.guardian.co.u...tada-loses-bid-release.

It would be fair to state that the website is unreliable and makes wild unsubstantiated claims in its stories

@accelriskconsult thank you. I wanted someone else to start with open mind about this issue before I say anything. Otherwise many would say we know why you are brushing this off.

I hear from you everyday condeming "sub-Standard" news and their cheap stories. Why don't you use same kind of approach when you read something on the Internet? Why is this story different? Why do you think this is credible?

Ok, before you bash me, I am just being devil's advocate, audhu billah (God forbids).

1. First, this guy is not even Kenyan!
2. Who owns this website http://www.intelligencebriefs.com?
3. Why would someone being described as related to alleged Osama be doing in Kenya?
4. Who has seen him in Kenya, leave alone the said Mosque?
5. How can person being sought by British, Jordan etc be in Kenya, leave alone a Mosque?

For your information, a leader of a mosque is called Imam.
The West want to mislead people by calling every Muslim a Sheikh so and so. Although "Sheikh" means "Mr.", it is not how they how you to see. They want you to think that "Sheikh" means a "Leader".

But Mr. so and so cannot be appointed to belong to certain mosque. Leave alone thinking that Al-Qaeda appointing someone for a cerain mosque in Kenya.

I mean, you guys, how could you imagine someone, known to be linked to Al-Qaeda in Kenya and the government knows and they do nothing?

The story of "Abu Qatada has been appointed to replace Aboud Rogo at Sheikh Masjid Mussa Mosque" is but just propaganda by the West.

Remember the recording released in Jan 2012 from the SITE Intelligence Group and they say it belongs to one Ahmad Iman Ali, the leader of Shabaab's branch in Kenya!

Common guys, how can you verify this is genuine allegation! What if someone has a hidden agenda and as usual, want people to jump in and just support it without question and eventually create hatred amongt the people! Have you forgotten the 2007?

Which one? Did you understand really? The story of "appointing someone to replace Aboud Rogo at Sheikh Masjid Mussa Mosque" from this website (SITE Intelligence Group) is questionable and likely a propaganda.
Even the recording released in Jan 2012 from the same site says it belongs to one Ahmad Iman Ali, the leader of Shabaab's branch in Kenya!

Really! You believe these?

This guy is not even Kenyan, he's said to be linked to alleged Osama and al-Qaeda, how can he be in Kenya! Who has even seen him in Kenya, leave alone the said Mosque?

So why should the mosque be closed?
