Is JUBILEE HOLDINGS the Berkshire Hathaway of Kenya?

There are so many parallels to draw between the two

When Bujagali makes 1bn in Profits like in fy 2011, and jubilee has 25% interest in Bujagali. Bujagali declares no dividends. Does Jubilee benefit and in what way.

Since its an associate company the full 25% of the profits will be transferred to Jubilee's income statement!

Yup that's the accounting treatment!

It will appear in the "share of profits from associates" on JUBs income statement!

In the year 2011 associate companies of JUB including farmers choice and bujagali raked in 1.1BILLION to the income statement...
infact it was these associates that saved JUBs profits from declining in 2011!

I wonder how much they will bring in 2012...
