@wazua, the home of all solutions. We are needing a trained professional caregiver for our lovely mom who is bedridden and at home in Nairobi. A live in nurse with experience in giving such kind of care and a positive mentality/attitude to match. We are trying to keep the moments at home as light as possible so her personality matters (we had one who let us down with on off grumpiness).
Please note that her main job is mom as we have a great househelp but the job is too much for her and juggling work and the night vigils has left us (my sis n I) pretty exhausted.
If we can find a tried and tested lady (any age as long as she qualifies as per the above), we will appreciate.

@kenyanbeef

Keep the faith up. The best people to advise you would be the nurses at the hospital where she has been treated before. They will recommend where to get this kind of professional. My opinion.
You will know that you have arrived when money and time are not mutually exclusive "events" in you life!

@ Kenyanbeef we had a similar situation at home and were also looking for a care giver and still interested in one as it is quite taxing on the immediate family. We were not able to get a live in care giver but we found people willing to come during the day only. So what we did was get another househelp who then got trained by a nurse on the basic care needed for my mum and then we had a nurse coming home on regular basis to check on that. This proved cheaper for us and has so far been working.
