I don't like commenting on politicians including RAO but this RAO fellow has gone too far. I have my f@#king money in this business and some politicians writes a letter which has direct effect on my investment just because he wants votes??? I hate this busy body tendency especially when my hard earned cash is involved! Why does a fellow feel he should intefere in anything and everything from cattle dip affairs to Airline business just because he holds a position we never voted for?

Are we a communist country? This is a capitalist country and KQ is a publicly listed company. Someone get the fellow a dictionary and a book in basic economics! And I agree, this is not a FISH MARKET!!!

A politician can yap all he wants and give all the stories and promises he wants and I wouldn't care one bit! But when you start messing with my money/investment, then we have a problem!!!!

Agreed on every other point bt this fish market analogy is in bad taste.Sad
Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

Political pronouncements aside - why does KQ always undertake retrenchment to bolster their performance?

KQ's Mission is to maximize in profit making, not to create employment. Notice, they are acquiring new planes 787 that consume less fuel, greater capacity and covering long distances.

@ Murchr - profit maximisation is every organisation's goal (even the NGOs that claim not to be profit making) but when an organisation keeps on carrying out retrenchments then some fundamentals are wrong.

Not always, most of the jobs that go down the drain are non-core jobs meaning that if KQ can outsource the services elsewhere at a cheaper cost then that means the company is just restructuring so that it can be compete effectively. eg. For example should KQ hire IT personnel or should they outsource the service from a firm that specializes in IT . etc And NGOs dont return profits. At the end of the year they should report how well they used the funds
