The draw is today!

Your opinions?
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

As for my beloved Man United they will definitely not be in the same group as Chelsea, Barcelona Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Porto and AC Milan because they are all in pot 1.

They will also not be in the same group as Man Shitty which are in pot 2 because they are from the same association.

Juventus and PSG a possibility but I'm sure most of the big guns would rather they were not in their group!

The way this pots are set out, we are bound to end up with a very explosive "Group of Death". Here is an example:

Real Madrid - Winners La Liga
Man City - Winners EPL
Borussia Dortmund - Winners Bundesliga
PSG - Money bags. Have bought "evryone".

I would rather be in a group of death than with unknown teams e.g. Otelul Galati

we are almost there guys...

There will be eight groups, with a team from each pot being placed in each group. Teams from the same country cannot be placed in the same group. Here is the full list of teams in the draw:

Pot One: Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Porto, AC Milan.

Pot Two: Valencia, Benfica, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St Petersburg, Schalke, Manchester City, Braga, Dynamo Kiev.

Pot Three: Olympiakos, Ajax, Anderlecht, Juventus, Spartak Moscow, Paris St Germain, Lille, Galatasaray.

Pot Four: Celtic, Borussia Dortmund, BATE Borisov, Dinamo Zagreb, CFR Cluj, Malaga, Montpellier, FC Nordsjaelland.

As I had predicted! Well, almost.

Group D:
Real Madrid - Winners La Liga
Man City - Winners EPL
Borussia Dortmund - Winners Bundesliga
Ajax - Winners Eredivisie League

Man United avoids Juventus and PSG as I had hoped. We didn't avoid Galatasaray though - always a tough customer. Reminds me of their "Welcome to Hell" banners in 1993 and 1994!

Once bitten twice shy. I'm almost starting to agree with someone here who suggested that Man Utd somehow always seems to get "easy" draws. Easy on paper at least. I'm glad Fergie is taking nothing for granted this time - I hope Evra doesn't too.

I'm glad we don't have to travel to Russia but Galatasaray is as tough an away fixture as you'll ever get - hope the OT fans can respond in kind when they come visiting.

Arsenal also have a relatively easy draw on paper. Chelsea have mostly Juve to worry about but our shitty counterparts have a repeat of last season - the group of death. Spanish, German and Dutch league winners. But truthfully speaking if Aguerro returns I think City will go through. Dortmund was awful in the CL last season though they will have learnt from their mistakes while Ajax were a bit unlucky.

You could see the relief on the PSG officials when they avoided Group D, hehe.

And what a fairy tale for Victor Wanyama - playing at the Camp Nou against the best footballer of our generation. I know Mariga had a cameo there when Inter lost to Barca but progressed to the finals and won it but Vic Wanyama's is much better - he plays and plays very well.

In other news...

Andres Iniesta has been one of the most overlooked imperial creative midfielders for the past 3 seasons and what more fitting way to recognize him than in the midst of the season where the two goal scoring machines had their most prolific seasons to date. Enough said!

Iniesta performed very well at Barca and he was Spain's main man at the Euros. @ Maichblack, CR and Messi tied for second
