The following may act as a guide :
1.Ensureyou know the person selling that plot well or close friends do.Confirm from neighbours that he actually owns it.
2.Verify the documents are real not faked-e.g in case of murera plots,pay the gatundu office a visit,with the copy of the documents.they will give you feedback instantly.
3.Do not appear desperate-brokers are able to gauge your level of desperation.
4.Do not carry cash-most people are urged on to part with the cash once the broker suspects you already have it.
5.Get leads from people you know-nowadays almost everybody is a broker.
6.Give yourself time to research once you have viewed the plot-ignore the broker’s warning that other people are interested in the plot.
7.Keep in mind that there are other plots and probably cheaper and better ones

@cmk do you have advice for sellers who dont want to go through brokers? As much as we hate remember as a seller its almost impossible to get a buyer without going through them. I am currently selling and I am using them because I dont know a better way to do it
