This Kagame guy never ceases to amaze me.

After development partners suspended support to the country, based on allegations that Rwanda is supporting rebels in the DRC,Kagame came up with a better national plan.

Launching an Agaciro Development Fund (AgDF),aimed at propelling Rwanda’s development through self help drive involving Rwandans’ contributions.

The money was raised by Rwandans from all walks of life and individuals interested in helping Rwanda’s social and economic development within and outside the central African nation.

The two day event, traditionally hosted by President Kagame which brings together Rwandans of all background of life to freely exchange ideas on how best the central African nation can take up local, regional and global challenges to be able to forge ahead.
am jealous.

During the maiden event President Kagame said it demonstrates the willingness of the Rwandan people to own the development process.

“Development of our country is the responsibility of all Rwandans, young or old,” Kagame said, adding that no country has ever progressed while depending on others.

President Kagame said establishment of the Fund should be perceived as a sign of dignity – something that is earned and not accorded by others.

If all African Nations thought this way haki.Kuomba omba policy would be a thing of the past.

A noble way of thinking and doing something.

It is my take that we only borrow to steal; for if we indeed wanted to bring about change.. we would 'think-out-of-the-box'

True very true, this dependency on aid has never helped any country and its only when we start working with the money that we have that we can get realistic.

Rwanda's budget has been dependent on donors 50 % on average for the past 5 years. Most social services and employment provided by international NGOs. Kagame is biting the hand that feeds him, like Moi in the 90s.
