Journalists read too much into things.
I listened to some kids talk about this programme on the bench today and I was humbled and impressed.
You educate one child and he turns a whole village round.
It's this generation that will turn things round in future cz they know what it means to be helped.
Quote:Looking ahead, if these Equity Foundation programmes continue for just another 25 years and remain at the same level, they will have nearly 50,000 of what I would call “Equityzens”.
Because the gender split is nearly 50-50, if by the time half of them are married to people who are not alumni of the programme and have families of three children each, you will have 12,500 Equity men having 37,500 children, and Equity women having 37,500 children too — 75,000 in all. In all, that would give you 125,000 Equityzens.
and what is wrong with that? they will be able and educated equityzens after all.
