This gives credence to what i was talking about...

http://www.physioroom.co...ue/epl_injury_table.php

The average days missed for a Utd player injured was 45 days last season while for a City player injured was 24 days!

ION, I didn't watch the opening match for Reading against Stoke but I doubt there'll be a repeat of the City Southampton match up at Stamford Bridge tonight. Win for Chelsea - taking them 6 points ahead of United

Well it was an offside goal but every team gets their good or bad luck more than once in a season. Of course if it was Man Utd we'd never have heard the end of it but hio tumezoea.

Chelsea started the game looking so menacing I thought they'd run away with it by half time but alas! And therein lies the beauty of the premier league. Spanish football is superior technically but you know it either Barca or Real winning the league and the El Classico probably decides the winner. With the EPL any game can go either way. Reading played well despite the Cech blunder that gifted them the second and they could have scored a third after Cahill equalized through a Fedrici howler but football is cruel.

I watch Eden Hazard and just fell bad knowing he'd have signed for Man Utd if Chelsea hadn't won the CL.Oh well, you win some you lose some. That boy is going to win Chelsea some titles for sure.

ION, Sturridge looks set to join Anfield for more playing time

..No congratulations to Chelsea..signs we are now a team to reckon with!! teams from the championship will always have a point to prove esp playing with the big boys.Yes the Cech howler flattered their egos and am sure they thought they would win..well we saw the same thing with Southampton V City, teams have yet to gel completely esp trying to accomodate the new signings and once this is done well what more can i say.

But you have to marvell at the intricate play Hazard - Mata had trying to feed Torres and yet we still yet to assimilate Oscar who will take Lampards role (he will have a periphery role coming in late in the game to shore up the midfield) and yet Marin is to come still..life at the bridge could not be greater!!

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

@Ric, I have a feeling Di Matteo would have wanted to remove Lampard but does not want to end up like AvB! In the 2nd half, I had a hard time spotting Lampard

@smano .."Some people hog the ball for too long" these were words from Torres last season in an apparent reference to Lampard. You are right he struggled with the pace and the quick passing and slowly and slowly he will be relegated to the bench and have an inspirational/later game role where ball retention is key esp those SF away matches in the Champions league. However i don't rate Cahill at all- the media seems not to like Luiz but to me he is a far better defender than Cahill (ofcourse cahill is english) i blame him squareley for the first goal. Once we get Azi....... then maybe Ivanovic will come to CB and have always thought Luiz can play anchor midfield!!
