PPE pipes are being commonly used for plumbing.

Rank: Elder Joined: 6/20/2008 Posts: 6,275 Location: Kenya		I have not bought yet. In fact as you suggest, I'm considering all "plastic" pipes and fittings. This is cheaper. Besides, I will use trenches, to bury the pipes underground to avoid damage by cattle.

While doing my research, I found out that the most economical way is use of ram pumps. My neighbour in upcountry has used it successfully, 100m uphill (steep) and 3km flat distance to the home. Look at this basic model from wikipedia Basic components of a hydraulic ram: 1. Inlet — drive pipe 2. Free flow at waste valve 3. Outlet — delivery pipe 4. Waste valve 5. Delivery check valve 6. Pressure vessel
