Gunners fans, wacheni uchungu. You should be like Man U fans when Ronaldo left the club to star at Real Madrid. You are such in denial, it's so evident in your words.

Van Persie gone gone gone...for a cool £24m...vWatch out for another TORES! Why couldnt Drogba share his wisdom with him? The expectations at Old tranford will just be too huge for him to meet!

What do you mean 'like Man Utd fans' when Ronaldo left for Real almost all football pundits and some fans expected him to be a flop.....his price tag also had bitterness written all over it. Anyway RVPs case is different, he's almost a pensioner, come to think of it he's already one. This is his last contract, which means he only has about two or three years to win anything. I honestly hope he does he deserves it. Last season Barca and Real were really interested in him but they dropped their intetest later on.....at 30 yrs old his career can end up either way, like VDS or Hagreaves. RVP should not blame the fans for hating him, players such as Henry and Cesc left in a respectable manner but RVP's situation was mishandled by his advisers especially that statement he released in July.....must have influenced Wenger's decision to sell him.

RVPs move will definitely have a negative effect on Chicharito and Welbeck careers. Theres no way SAF will be able to rotate 4 strikers in one season, he couldn't do it last season. You need some consistency in the squad to develop confidence in your players. The Mexican will certainly leave sooner or later because of SAF biasness towards English players.

We finally have a deserving captain......TV5. Apart from Viera i never understood why Henry, Gallas, Cesc and RVP were handed the captain's armband. TV5 has a long term contract with the club and is usually very committed on the pitch.....he's been so consistent in his performances.

You can. Why not? Remember the class 0f '99?

1) Dwight Yorke
2) Andy Cole
3) Ole Gunnar Solskjær
4) Teddy Sheringham

Need I remind you how that season ended?

Like who? Dwight Yorke? Solskjær? Cantona? Van Nistelrooy? Ronaldo?

I'm sure, despite what the press wants us to believe, the players above are all British!!! Too bad for Chicharito!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@ Maichblack.....What is SAF talking about, he couldn't even handle three strikers last season how the hell will he deal with four (or five if Berbatov stays)....we are not in 99' the transfer market has changed and Agents have become very greedy. Btw in 99 SAF had a problem with Sheringham and Yorke.....infact the latter signed for Blackburn due to limited appearances at OT. Man Utd might have one good season with RVP and Chicharito on board but after that one of them will definitely leave. IMO i think SAF is trying to hype RVP's tranfers to hide the fact that he's failed to capture his main targets this summer.

Truth is RVP might win a medal or two at OT but his influence will be minimal, after four years he will still be saying that his best years were at Arsenal. Henry won everything with Barca but he still dreams of Arsenal, Cesc also can't stop talking of the gunners....he even assisted us in signing Cazorla. RVP will always be seen as an ex-Arsenal player especially due to the fact that he's 29 yrs Old. SAF suggests he will make his debut this Monday, i think he might even score a goal but i do not expect him to be top scorer at OT. Wenger builds his teams around players, thats why Henry, Cesc and RVP were so successful....probably thats why he even gave him the Captaincy.

As for Song, hio ni pang'ang'a he has three years left and Wenger has also declared there's nothing to that story.....unless they offer us 30m. Barca wamesota they couldn't afford Javi martinez, i think the cheapest player we've ever sold to them was Hleb at 15m i don't think Song will cost the same.

Stop hyping this RVP transfer, clearly he's a good player who MIGHT perform well at Man Utd but was not worth 24m at 29 yrs old.....Wenger is smiling all the way, he can't just say ati i wanted him gone.

You can have as many strikers as you want but few will be involved during the season, hata watu kama Macheda usually say they've won several trophies with Man Utd.
