The EPL 2012/13 season is starting coming weekend. Some teams looks re-energized (Arsenal) while others are pale shadow compared to last season (Liverpool). Others are just there (Man U and Man City) nothing has changed much. New leadership looks promising to some (Chelsea).

The season will end the boring weekends (since May) being experienced by all the football lovers. I am a gunner by blood and hope we can take the league this time round if we do something to the defense department. Midfield and Attacking is excellent if yesterdays friendly (FC Cologne) is anything to go by.

Haija Last time London hosted Olympics in 1948 Arsenal won the league. Last time Arsenal started league fixture with Sunderland, Arsenal won the league.

By December 2012, Di matteo will be gone and SAF will have had another pacemaker inserted after heart attack.

Mancini will be looking towards UCL glory ...............

For the first time in many years, Arsenal look to have strength in depth in almost every position and are set to start very strong this season despite a number of injuries.

Manchester United did not finish very strong last season and despite the new signings they do not seem to have improved significantly. time will tell if indeed Kangawa will have improved them, but it seems SAF is behaving more like Wenger in the past in regards to spending. It is apparent that United's funds seem to have dwindled so they cant attract players like before.

Chelsea seem to have moved a few steps backwards despite the arrival of big name signings! Di mateo needs to watch out, just like his predecessor he may only last one season if he does not deliver the EPL and i doubt if he will.

City finished rather strong and are expected to remain strong and defend the title although surprisingly there has been no arrivals at the Etihad this time round!

Ma faaaans!

Above are the ESPN soccernet previews for the clubs expected to notch the top 6 positions - I have listed them in the order of how I think they'll finish. And yes, I think City will edge Utd once again, despite being Man Utd damu. Of course we will revisit this list in January 2013 God willing.

As for the opening weekend:

Arsenal vs Sunderland - Big win for gooners
WestBrom vs Liverpool - Draw
Newcastle vs Spurs - Slim Magpies win
Wigan vs Chelsea - Slim Chelsea win
City vs Southampton - Big win for City
Everton vs Utd - Slim Utd win
