The 1500 men's team should redeem this mess. Imagine no medal at all for Chemos and Njoro at the steeplechase! The 1500 men's team of Silas and co. should strategise for the event. "Never regret, if its good, its wonderful. If its bad, its experience."

For 1500m Final i will not be surprised if Asbel Kiprop gets the Gold but am not sure of Silas Kiplagat and Kiplimo Chepseba But be SURE 800m we taking this gold. SURE!! Our 3 boys have the 3 fastest times in the world in the 1500m and with composure and strategy, they should easily have a clean sweep.....that would be great!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

Despite the negative vibe against our athletics, we have not lost any gold we won in Beijing, so lets stay on there! But still so far so good with the display we've been seeing aii aiyee My folks told me that my very first word was 'billionaire'

[quote=McReggae]madollar: eti 6 medals od any kind for Kenya.....haiezekani, Gold ndio minimum sita, overall haul will definitely be more than 10!!
the expectations were too high being a championship event so many factors were likely to come into play the weather(women marathon) ,team tactics .for now the coaches have to ensure we come top position in africa
ethiopia will win gold in 5000men and 1500 ,5000 women to make a tally of 5 gold we are likely to get gold in 1500,800 and marathon for a total of 4 gold . we will get more silver and bronze than Ethiopia in the remaining events
it will come down to 800 meters women pamela jelimo or fantu magiso for top placement in africa

@madollarr, we already have 5 medals so the call for 6 medals of any kind was always too few!!! I doubt ethiopia will win the 5000men!!! The best thing is that we have not lost any Gold we had in Beijing so I'm still hopeful of than 6golds and coming tops in Africa!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

There are two young Ethiopians who will give Mo Farah a stern test in 5000m,they could easily beat him.

Dibaba wins the first semi final of the 5000m,Kibiwot comes third with Defar second.Kibiwot held onto the Ethiopians better than the 10 000m cast but then they were running to qualify for the final.

..I think it's plain to see our standards have dropped but most importantly the world has stepped up. I think it's time we acknowledged talent alone is not enough. I think an overhaul in the coaching system is needed now and it's time we got some world class coaches who will teach us bout tactics we seem to be easily outwitted in home stretches. Not counting anything in the 1500m men.. The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.
