At least kemboi gives us the first gold medal. With that can the officials/joyriders book the next flight home. 800 , 1500; and steeplechase sockets may anyway add medals. Over to you Rudisha, Kirwa and Chemos (not the wazuan with a strip dancing cow). "Never regret, if its good, its wonderful. If its bad, its experience."

Amazingly the fastest 100m ever run iS 8.84 by Asafa Powell in 2007 followed by 8.85 by Carl Lewis at the Barcelona Olympics in '92.Bet you didn't know that. Both times were done by the athletes as they anchored their respective 4x1 teams.Taking into account that they take the baton standing mathematicians have calculated this to be equivalent to a 9.60 and 9.61 timing.Amazing stat possunt quia posse videntur

with all the praise bolt is getting and he was given by the commentators you would think dibaba should have gotten double that - she tore apart her competition.

That winning gap for Bolt with that class of athletes is no small feat.Shelly Anne Fraser also beat a classy field in defending her 100m women's title.

Tonight it is for Chemos to carry the expectations of a nation, hoping the Ethiopian girls that she has beaten time and again do not come to haunt us,the women marathoners really disappointed and nobody was going to beat Mo Farah on Saturday night with the Ethiopian Jerali out injured and Bekele off form,Kenya has had no one capable in the event since Paul Tergat.

Just thinking, Suppose one is running from the opposite direction towards Bolt and then a collision takes place. Aftermath?? "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

Kemboi's gold now vindicates the decision by our Olympics officials not to drop him from the team after that stabbing fiasco in Eld, to deal with it on his return. What if they had dropped him... And looking at the makazeti, now only S.Africa is the only African country ahead of us in the medals table (I thought Ethiopia...), so we really NEED a coupla more medals before the Athletics events/Games end this w'end, Teamkenya tafadhali!!!!! BTW, we will feel the late Wanjiru's loss during the marathon, no? And did I miss it or the gova and private sector didn't really come out strongly this time round on any cash incentives for any medallists?
