I think it was a strategy for Bolt to relax and let yohan defeat. We await the plympics though a will be more interested to see how the 4*4 comes out. This will be the greatest ever by the jamaican lads !

@madollar, What does that mean?

@mkeiyd - He means that Bolt has to break the world record to stand any chance of retaining the 100 & 200 metres gold! Any [even slightly] slower speed and Yohan eats his breakfast, lunch and dinner!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

yap! no human being can do what bolt did at his peak 3 consecutive world records at an Olympic event blake is just a pretender to the throne.

must have been a disappointment for guys who had paid £750 (90 000ksh GFF!)to watch him finish second and here its free to watch rudisha ,jelimo, vivian and the rest .

Come srowry!!! Lets put a few things in perspective. Yohan Blakes winning time in 100m was 9.75s and in 200m it was 19.80s. Usain Bolts best times in both events are 9.58 and 19.19. In 100m times Usain at his fastest will be halfway through his lap of honor by the time Blake gets to the finish line. Usain Bolt has the slowest reaction time of all the greats, by the time he gets off the blocks akina Blake and Asafa are usually close to the halfway mark. He makes up for it with the best acceleration and highest top speed achieved. A little more work in reaction time and Oh!! boy!! that will be one race not miss at the Olympics.

I somehow am getting a feeling Bolt is setting us up. Think about it, he is a very showbiz guy and he knows winning the Jamaican qualifiers is not as hot news around the world than losing. What better way to build up expectation and suspense than by coming in second at the qualifiers. Just a crazy thought.

I think we might also witness a new world record on the 4 by 100. I think other countries like the US who think they have a chance at the 4 by 100 should employ a Juju man to curse the Jamaicans to drop the baton or false start or do something that will get them disqualified because beating them just by running will be impossible. Hawesmek!!

Applause Applause Applause

I am 100% sure this is what Bolt is doing. I really hope we get to see a 100M final without false starts or a 4*1 without dropping batons in both men's and women's or some other mishaps - let us see who is the best once and for all.

Has beaten Bolt to the world championship and Jamaican olympics qualifiers last night.....Former world champion Maurice Greene predicted this in Dec of 2011....Looks like Bolt's time is up.

With the four fastest men ever 100m Bolt 9.58s, Gay 9.69s, Powell 9.72s and the beast 9.75s, throw in Gatlin on steroids and we have one hell of a race in olympics. My money is on Tyson Gay.

Guka, Do you believe now??

If Carl Lewis was running at that final yesterday and he ran his all time personal best of 9.86 he would have been number 5!!

This Bolt guy is phenomenal and this is after being the 5th guy off the blocks. He has a really slow reaction time. When he gets that right and he will be halfway through his lap of honor by the time the second guy gets to the finish line.

@Kusadikika, well let's hope he's able to get his act from the blocks right (of course, with the assistance of his coach) while he's still at his peak coz that would probably mean another 100mtrs world record!!!

The false start in the World Championships didn't help! He wouldn't want a repeat!!!

"Bolt is the highest-paid athlete in the history of track and field, but he’s also probably the most underpaid athlete in the history of track and field" - Paul Doyle [A veteran track and field agent]

Quote:
His appearance at the Penn Relays in 2010 resulted in the highest single day attendance (54,310) in the event’s 118-year history. Regarding the crowd’s reaction when Bolt started warming up, U.S. sprinter Mike Barber said, “It was so loud, I thought, ‘Is the President here?’”

Hussein Boit!!!! Sorry, Usain Bolt!!!

And some people had the balls to write off Bolt??? As in seriously? Did you just see him slow down towards the end of the race? In a 200 metres olympics finals!!!!

Greatness personified!
