He has qualified for the semis which will be at 10:50pm.....he was the 1st if the first 50m then finished 4th in his heat, I believe he has what it takes to reach the finals with a good turn!!!!

I am absolutely loving the medals battle between China and the U.S

the americans are now going for plan b

That is partly because the American convention is to present the medal table in order of medals won rather than first counting the number of golds.

Good thing they had a plan B!!!
But ikifika track events, that's America's domain.
Currently they are level on 30 medals each with China leading on gold...

Jason Dunford misses the final.
Now that Olympics proper starts tomorrow, Here is the IAAF link to the olympics games with full timetable of all athletics events including the start list, seasonal best and personal best for each athlete plus their athletics history. They will post results almost immediately after each event and indicate who qualifies for the net round

Congrats to Jason for making it to the semis, me think the only problem they got is endurance, dude was 2nd at 50m mark and then last on the return!!!

As an AFRICAN you have to knock out your opponent like Wangila did in 1988. Otherwise the opponets ALWAYS win on points. Im glad that in athletics the winner is seen by all.

Now even the knockdowns are not enough. SMH!!!

Let the gold rush begin. Barring any Russian or Chinese unknown surprises Vivian should bring hme the 1st gold. Dibaba has not been in very good form.
