By the look of things and the current scandals involving biometric registration equipment, we are surely not ready for even June 2012.

I do not think 5 months will be enough to register voters,prepare voters register and conduct peaceful polls devoid of malpractices but we have no choice other than to soldier on !!

This is what happens when you let activists run the show . Vagueness , lack of clearity in everything including a simple thing like election date . Don't rule out one of the judges declaring that elections should be held in August 2012 as per the new constitution . God save us from these reformers .

....And an activist will come up and say the Judge currently speaking (what is is name?) was talking about ERECTIONS not elections...Hii nchi iko na watu!!!

There is no confusion here guys, we must embrace the meaning of a 5-man bench!!

some of us need to be educated on bench rulings. Where is the confusion coming about? You wait until the rulings are made. the assenting and dissenting. If you aren't happy, you go to the supreme court. There you have a 7 man/woman bench. You will be more confused. So wait.

I expected August 2013...
