how much are they spending on one ballot box for example?

Kshs. 2,000/= per voter while other countries spend between Kshs. 100/= to Kshs. 200/= per voter!!! And that's just for voting.

Some calculations which divided the amount of money spent on "continuous voter registration" by the actual number of voters registered showed that it cost Kshs. 2,300/= per voter [registration]!

And remember we are talking about registered voters not people who actually vote. If you use the number of people who actually end up voting the figure might be almost 4,000/= per voter [voting] and a couple of thousand for registration!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

i have always said that the new form of gvt is going to be a very expensive affair for kenyans. Most kenyans will be working 2.5 to 3 days a week just to pay the tax portion of their salary.Recently finance minister said the gvt does not have money to finance the county gvt. This is very telling but i hope the MP's can come to their senses and reduce the size of gvt which i think is far fetched since they are already knee deep in the planning of increasing the seats.
Election commision lacks creativity in trying to save the tax payers money.I was shocked to see that they wanted so many new cars and yet they are mostly used for a short period every 5 years during the election cycle.Leasing or renting is a better option for 80% of their vehicle needs as it saves them alot of fixed costs because the will be idle for long periods. That budget can be significantly reduced but people have to eat i guess, kenyan style.
I agree with the people who have said that building more thika hwys plus rail system and other infrastructure instead of increasing size of gvt.

may anyone who engages in corrupt deals die of untreatable ailments aids, cancer, ebola etc.may all their kids and kids kids engage in drugs, suicide and prostitution and become vagabonds. let anything they eat from our hard earned tax boil in their bellies. let every plague dwell in their household until they rethink and return anything they have stolen from us poor taxpayers and repent.

What does the Constitution say about cabinet size and appointments?

First and simplest reform agenda for next prez is giving us a lean cabinet. This money guzzling compromise set up must go.
Second, for the youth graduates, reinstate the retirement age to 55 years. At that age, kama hujajipanga you were meant to die poor. No amount of additional years can save you. But I believe they only had themselves in mind when this was reviewed upwards. The youth badly need these chances.
