While inexpensive it is both therapeutic and cost effective in the long run.

The name 'Tooth Decay' for all decaying teeth and gums!

Tooth Decay is not a leading cause of death........or is it ?

interesting issue,let me pose a question to sk members ;how often do you visit a dentist ? do you go to a dentist primarily because of say pain ? do you have a regular dentist ? i'm asking this since i'm a regular to the dentist 2 visits per year,this has made me very conscious of other peoples teeth esp when having a conversation with someone what i have observed is that pple in this town dont care about their teeth and gums,how do you walk around with stained teeth and bleeding gums imagine kissing someone with bleeding gums ! sounds shocking but i guess about 60% of sk members are doing it .

tip from my dentist after brushing your teeth use a mirror and look at your teeth to see if you have stains especially the side facing the tongue

bleeding gum? ..woh thats gloss...This is a huge en frustrating prblem in kenya . stained teeth and bad breath. well,some of it is due to lack of good dental care whereas some of it is lack of effective products that delivers results.. sometimes over the counter products can help but in some cases they won't. I can help with a product used in the US that is very effective in elliminating stains and bad breath. This is the most effective product ever manufactured and used by celebrities to keep their teeth sparkling white. can ship at kshs.6000. Ever wondered how they manage to keep their teeth so bright white? thats it. If interested email joemuroki@gmail.com

Dental charges are obscene in this country and these unnessarily drives most people away - i understand there is a connection between long life and good dental care.

For those on tight budget try University dental school near Nairobi Hospital,can be done by students or the interns - a good starting point.

http://www.consumertipsw...&FitnessNewsletters - also have a look at this though outta of our way.

Yeah,most Kenyans have horrible teeth,but it's mainly coz we assume dentists are expensive(and sure they are!). Does anybody have contacts of a reasonably priced dentist?

@kamaa

try Dr. Virjee at Hilton Hotel. charges like 1500-2000 for check-up. other charges depend on what he is to do. I find him pretty reasonable for his services.Tel: 2221155 /339506

If you are looking for really really cheap but good services and you have some time to spare,try St. Mary's langata or Kijabe Mission Hospitals....

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

kamaa - try susan (maina,i think). 1st floor,kencom house. the down side is that you would need to book an appointment well in advance and at times days away as she is rarely free.

Dr. Kigamwa (Mrs),near Uchumi Buru Buru,I think she charges 500 consultation. I think she also has a clinic in Doctor's Plaza Nairobi Hospital. I hear she is one of the best,people come from far and wide to see her
