KCB will make 20-22billion PBT in 2012 meaning growth of 32-40% as promised by the Board of Directors.. I want nothing more!

On booking of profits, is it the whole banking industry that books more profits in Q4 or its just KCB and what is this business activity that generates more profit in Q4 than in any other quarter. how about other years?

Most of the profits or loss in Q4 arise from provisions made..

Provisions gains or losses can be booked at any time of the year but i believe KCB does so in Q4 for prudence purposes.. Especially when there are gains..

If you check over the years you will notice KCBs Q4 results always differ with other quarters, whether good or bad!

@guru @pkoli the H2 eps will most probably be in region 4.05-4.50.but if interest rates come down it may boast Q4 not Q3.certainly 2013 will be a good year for KCB

You are simply comparing KCB to other banks..

Are you aware that KCB is on a huge cost cutting and efficiency drive??
Are you aware that this drive is what will contribute to EPS in 2012 more than the current interest rate environment??

What is the PBT of a company aiming for a 6% ROA and controls assets worth 400B??

@guru tell them. Imagine they profits KCB would make if they reached BBK's efficiency levels.
Life is short. Live passionately.

At the current price the expected FY 2012 dividend yield is more than 10%, I will obviously keep buying this lion. If it goes below 24, the better for me.

KCB Diaspora Banking - Banking Without Borders + KCB Mobi = more non-funded income with less HR costs. #StayTuned

That will be excellent performance that will beat other banks performance hand down. However, it’s not a modest projection.

This year, the bank has underprovisioned to the extent of raising eyebrows. That makes provision gains in this year’s Q4 a tough call #Be wary

Unlikely any time soon. It requires a culture change which is not there. The 'old guard' used to the old way of doing things has to change. I could happen but not in 2012. Perhaps not even 2013.

@VVS,

The first culture change was when MOO instituted/or the board, the Mcnzie study that did the re-oragnisation of KCB. I am glad it was executed very first.

Now, MOO is leading the financing for the investor conference at the Olympics. Before you could not hear KCB in such events..This is positive. I agree it will take some bit of time but the initiatives are good.

Like I said. Not today. Not in 2012. Probably not in 2013. Hopefully, sooner the better!
