this is before the county system comes into play
A bit of a concern now (sustained expensive tbills/bonds), but it confirms that the oil play is commercial... Otherwise I don't see why gubberment could risk their guts this much...
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Is it not skewed thinking that someone would borrow from a (devt) bank to expand their business (economy) only to stand back and smile at it? Fanyeni kazi! Lipeni deni, retain the rest.

@sparkly I don't appreciate disconnected thinking. We are the very Kenyans enjoying improving infrastructure but to turn around and distance ourselves from where it comes from is either laziness or hypocrisy or just both! Instead, we should appreciate & find productive use for it in order to sustain the momentum - simple.

The Senate is part of parliament. Parliament will now have 2 houses: the Senate and the National Assembly. The Senate is an extra useless expense IMHO. Just one of the copy-paste blunders of the new law. Taxpayers should expect to feel the pinch around 2016 when the central govt leaves the county govts to manage their wage bill.

And as usual Kenyans will have voted in useless people who just want to have titles yet they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing.

Expect to pay more taxes so as to finance big government.Hopefully Kenyans realize soon how expensive the new system of govt. will be and try change it before we vote in new govt officials. You will never be able to reverse this once the first election takes place.
