It appears RVP will not be traveling to Asia with the squad well i cannot say that was unexpected but what I'm yet to understand is why SAF is interested in him. Its not kawaida for Man Utd to pay more than 20m for a 29 yr old player who also has a terrible injury record. Do they really need him, he might end up like Owen Hagreaves. Man City i can understand because thats what they are good at.

ION Arsenal have lined up Fernando Llorente as RVP's replacement....

Make that 30m

Wenger can't sell to us.

First off, why would SAF want RvP of all people, no offense to the man. His ability is unquestionable, especially after last season's display. Thing is, we have Rooney, Wellbeck,Chicharito, Berba(for now),and Powell as strikers in that order, with Shinji able to play in the hole. RvP can of course replace any of them with his performance last season but why pay that much for a 29 year old as @Taz asks?

Secondly, Mr. Bean would rather die than sell RvP to us...all players he has lost to City pushed for the moves and the prices could not be ignored.

Thirdly, we need more re-inforcement in the midfield and a big name left back to replace Evra, (and when I say big name I don't mean Baines)even as we groom Robbie Brady and with Fabio on loan. As we have seen, young players being groomed can decide to go elsewhere to get first team football (read Fryers and Pogba). In my opinion those were regrettable losses but that is life.

We also need a very steely defensive/holding midfielder. Carrick is anything but steely and Jones I feel can play this position if groomed for it but still play centre back where required. Anderson can also play this role. However, we need an Alonso type player who will not only provide the steele but supplement the attacking midfielder [Kagawa/Cleverley/Anderson/Powell (as fergie has suggested)] with those passes that slice defenses. Scholes and Carrick should only have peripheral roles, unless Carrick pulls his socks up and plays the way he used to play in Spurs to command that fee of 17M pounds at the time!!!

Luka Modric would be the best buy but hio bei hatuwesmek, and Spurs would rather sell to Real than any EPL team, and the player does not want Man Utd. *sigh*

Anyway, twendelee kutazama uwanja.

ION, Hazard looked impressive in the pre-season matches, he looks like he's going to be a handful for defenders. Chelsea are a team to watch my friends....

Indeed and RDM said he's not done yet, he still needs a striker and a RB.

These pre-season matches are really nothing to talk about given the teams selected by the managers but from what i'm watching its the kawaida stuff from Arsenal.....they've controlled the whole game from start to finish but Man shitty have the goals. I don't think thats something to worry about though because Podolski and Giroud didn't travel with the squad. The new season isn't far away, we will soon know how all the teams measure up.
