Let's not complicate SK.

A.If a top contributor on SK forums started his/her own blog would I read it? Yes....Would I pay for it,No.

B. If a qualified leader in the investment banking sector started a blog,would I read it? Yes....would I be willing to pay for it,yes.

Contributors give info,analysis and speculation because they feel they have something to offer those who are lacking....we don't go to them and ask for their opinions,if we did then we'd be willing to pay them for that service.

In order for contributors to be paid,you must all be willing to pay to view SK...

@ Njung'e,you have got it absolutely right,this should be considered a knowledge exchange site.

For example I have not heard Jammo asking to be compensated for the very,very incisive and excellent posts he/she puts up.

C'mon guys we are better then some of the comments that have been made here.

There are 3 types SKerians.

There are the voyeurs. This are guys who read post all the time,never commenting. Some don't comment due to lack of knowledge other just don't want to bother. Voyeurs get knowledge and get to laugh at funny characters and the comedy that comes with some characters. E.g last week had a guy with multiple personalities and mania going berserk on SK. He has been tamed now.

There are the exhibitionist. This are dudes who want to read there own posts over and over and over. The extreme exhibitionist will have multiple user names and praise his or her own user name for saying something as was the case last week. (SK thank you for bring that guy under control) Most exhibitionist though are moderate and give good contributions. Exhibitionist want to be recognised for the knowledge they have and for the wise cracks they make. They want recognition. That is the benefit they get.

Type 3 skerians are a mixture of the 2 types above. They benefit as exhibitionist and as voyeurs.
