I have been in the middle east with ma family for almost 4years.I will b comn home july/aug'09 and would like to spend sometime at the beach (Mombasa) with ma family for 2-3weeks.can anyone advice a cool place to go be it south or north coast. Hotel/Cottages?etc which is the best and how much will it cost? (2 Teen age kids).

Hotels are great,it all depends with your budget and more so the no. of rooms you take.can your 2 teenage kids share a room?

I live in Diani Beach at the s.coast and Cottages have become very popular here.This is esp coz they r cheaper than hotels,more privacy,coz you can even get one in it's own compound,a proffessional cook is made available and you can enjoy eating what you like,when you want .this is unlike in the hotel where there are meal-time schedules to be followed.

The cost of the cottages depends mainly with the size(no.of bedrms) & location e.g the closer to the beach,the higher the price,own or shared compound,with or without swimming pool,security in the area etc.
