tried to gain root access for huawei Y100 phone, using gingerbreak but to no avail. Any tech savvy guy out there to help?
It is humiliating to be associated with thieves and murderers.

He's actually just managed to root it. Have a look at his blog, it could be a bit technical though.

Modding and rooting is for Linux enthusiasts and hobbyists - to change/tweak a few things, do some normally restricted (or funny) crap with your phone - it is sometimes useful if you want to develop an Android application - there are also simulators for this sort of thing. Think of it like opening your plasma TV to play around with the circuitry - nice hobby but not very productive real-worldwise. You can miss the whole thing and it won't make an iota of a difference.
