Just a few months ago SAF was full of praise for Pogba and confident he'll sign a new contract sasa he's crying foul ati "I don't think he showed us any respect at all". Btw i think this is so hypocritical coming from SAF given the circumstances in which Pogba was signed from his former club.....Man Utd never showed any respect there. I think SAF fails to understand why anyone would want to leave Man Utd.....he had problems with Heinze, Tevez, Ronaldo, Beckham and just recently the youngster Ravel Morrison. To be honest i don't think there's any manager who enjoys losing his top players but if they insist on leaving just take the money and wish them well. I'm sure Pogba's departure will not affect Man Utd that much but hakuna haja ya that kind of bitterness.....he just wants to try his luck elsewhere plus he'll probably get more money at Juventus.

SAF had problems with Ronaldo really?? The two spoilt brats were misadvised by their agents, its all about money or what was Pogba's reason for leaving? They might send Pogba on loan because there’s no way he’ll break into that Juventus midfield this season. @ Mastermind, He might not be able to break into Juve's first team this season but one thing i know about Italian and German clubs is that they usually take huge risks on unproven young players, so i do expect him to feature in several league games. At 19 yrs old his career can go either way.
"You don't think we'd get into a contract with that mob (Real Madrid), do you? Jesus Christ. I wouldn't sell them a virus. So that's a no — there is no agreement between the clubs." SAF, just a few months before CR7 signed for Real. There were some problems between SAF and CR7 on his commercial potential.....kind of what happened with Beckham.

@TAZ So why did Pogba leave United? Money Money... That quote was in reply to Real Madrid after claiming there was a secret agreement between them and United to sell CR7. Real Madrid was ronaldo's dream Club and he had said that he would like to play there one day therefore his stay at United was temporal. According to reports he has been offered £20,000 a week at Juventus, any club in the EPL can afford that.....Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal were also interested in his signature. As for CR7, well SAF never wanted him to leave which explained why the club put such a ridiculous price tag on him to try and scare off Real's interest after they had tried every trick in the book to sign him....so much for strategy. Btw i think Real have made way more than than from CR7 from the time he signed.

In a statement released today, RVP has declared that he won't be signing a new contract at Arsenal. That means he'll probably be sold, another captain gone. I hope we sign another striker to replace him.....maybe someone like Dempsey.

Arsenal have released an official club statement saying they respect RVP'S decision but expect him to complete his contract with the club.

So RVP is finally leaving the Emirates. It is now clear the entire Arsenal board are officially in the game for profits and not to win cups,How do you lose 4 captains in a row? Taz am waiting on the transfer period to end and see if they will make any drastic change. Kenya ni yetu sisi sote

Arsenal will survive without RvP just the way ManUtd survived without CR7. IMHO, RvP will not replicate the just concluded season he had with Arsenal, even if he was going to extend contract. http://soccernet.espn.go...o-leave-gunners?cc=3888
I agree with Alan Smith and completely disagree with this wanker called Merson. Cesc has had phenomenal glory with Barca after leaving Arsenal, Nasri won the EPL immediately after his departure. Merson needs to go and wash down his bitter pill with some humble pie. As for Pogba, I believe Fergie was just annoyed that he lost a good thing, it's natural. @Taz, all those guys you cited who left Utd thought they could be bigger than the club, that will never happen under Fergie's watch. Players come and go (except for SatNav and Giggs, hehe), club will always remain. BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

@ Dossy7, i believe RVP's refusal to sign a new contract at Arsenal has nothing to do with the Club's ambition.....its all about the money. We cannot not match the kind of wages offered by Chelsea, PSG and Man City because we don't have a sugar daddy. I don't think at his age deserves to earn the £220,000 a week being offered by shitty. I used to blame the Arsenal board whenever one of our top players leave but not anymore.....atleast this time they prepared in advance. Podolski and Giroud are good replacements, we just need two more players.
@ Smano....I actually agree with Merson, Cesc moved to Barcelona mainly because of his childhood connection with the club. That is why there's mutual respect between Cesc and Arsenal. If he was really interested in trophies then he would have considered the massive offers he received from Madrid, AC Milan and the other top clubs. As for Nasri well we all know that had nothing to do with seeking success. Gareth Bale, one of the best players in the league, recently signed a new contract at Spurs worth £70,000 a week.....how many trophies has he won with Spurs. I bet Drogba has also moved to China to win a few trophies. He is a player who has spent most of his time at Arsenal injured halafu sasa after a good season anasema he wants to win trophies elsewhere....so who's next, Diaby! RVP's move has BETRAYAL written all over it, sometimes i really sympathize with Wenger.

Taz, I agree with you SAF should not be lamenting about Pogba's departure. But you are wrong when you say He had problems with all the above players. I think its only Tevez and Beckham who were problematic. Ronaldo's deal was done and dusted the January before His departure in the summer and kept secret until the opportune time. Remember even He himself said He wont leave Man utd at a small fee(His big ego ofcourse). Both Heinze and Manutd agreed to sell because He could not make the first team after Evra emerged. The problem was that He wanted to go to Liverpool and there is no way Manutd is going to sell a top player to Liverpool and vice versa. And Ravel Morrison? The Kid is talented no doubt there, but his TABIA (or is it tavia- Kingangi). SAF and His entire team could not manage Him. Plus His numerous run in with the Law. And then also threating physical harm to His Mum. There was only one option - GO! Remember Him Lamenting on twitter that He has not been offered a new contract by Manutd. Even Newcastle backed down as the only Premiership team which wanted to buy him from Manutd. He eventually was Happy with Westham it being in London... He is still getting into trouble hence no interest from big clubs despite His talent.

Personally this question of betrayal is based on where you're seated. If Rooney had left Utd during that time he was unsure he wanted to say I'd have sreamed BETRAYAL to the high heavens, just like Cleveland Cavs fans screamt about LeBron going to Miami - the point is, no fan ever wants their big players to leave! If it was Aaron Ramsey leaving gooners would have a party, just like we did when Darren Gibson left! BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

The sooner Arsenal releases RVP the better....and make some money in the process. He was fantastic last season alright, but is it also not true that he has spent the previous 7 seasons in clinics more than on the pitch? Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Another youngster one leaves United but since we were not going to offer him first team football, I guess it's ok. But it's a bit worrying though... http://www.goal.com/en-g...r-united-youngster-zeki
