Reason why tribalism in Kenya will never die is because it is championed directly or indirectly by the same very well educated individuals.
Only God will save kenya.

Now i am so informed than in the morning......You see,Thika highway starts at Kibaki's door steps and ends in Othaya town.....Not just that, all those "idiots" you see using the road daily and even those who own property along the highway are cousins of Kibaki and nothing less......Sorry to say this. It's far much worse to have learned idiots.BK!

Quote:
The potential project beneficiaries (Of Thika Superhighway) will be predominantly the people living along the route engaged in various economic activities. More importantly will be commuters to work in secondary and tertiary sectors in the Central Business District (CBD). Over 89,500 people residing in Kasarani, Kiambu and Thika are on wage employment and another 125,000 are in the informal sector majority of who have to commute to Nairobi. Other distinct groups of commuters are students, health patients, shoppers and traders (formal and informal). With a secondary school enrolment rate of over 60% at least 12,000 students would potentially benefit from the road.
In addition, 2 public universities are established along the road, Kenyatta University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agricultural Technology (JKUAT). Between these two universities are approximately 11,990 students who attend part-time programs (49% women) and who will greatly benefit from an efficient transportation system.

This guy Ahmednasir most likely uses the same Thika Rd on his way to his rural home in Garissa every weekend.

Or he is just a petty fellow out to score a personal score with MK.He better go and stone state house than share his upumbavu thoughts.Let's be honest and without hating.Do all the new roads i have seen built during MK's time lead to Central Kenya? (or Othaya for that matter?)

The sad thing is no one notices all the roads that were built in the first term of MK's presidency...Msa Road and the road leading to Nakuru etc. I think its time Kenyans grew up, and its time our media ignored these polarizing individuals, do they have to be given airtime and space?

My thoughts are that we are being unnecessarily hard on Ahmednasir.

He has a right to hold a view that the road shouldnt have been as elaborate and swallowed the budget it did.

He seems to hold a view that the road does give some undue advantage to some people which may not necessarily be true but that's his view.

He certainly has beef with Kibaki - which is fine too.

Let the guy be!

I know there is pressure to have something to write for Nation every Sunday. When you have nothing to write, do not write it please.

He can be what he wants to be....oh!...He can display his ignorance on the highway for all i care and still be......For all he has seen in his days along the road are pick-ups ferrying mananazi from Thika to Nairobi.didn't he write that?....eh??....All those people in Matatus using the road are nothing but pineapples heads...huh?

The view was stupid whatsoever...its wise to build a road that will last, with very little expansions, the road not only leads to central province but also in Eastern and N.eastern and further to Ethiopia. Note the road is classified as A meaning its an international road. Besides Thika is an industrial and horticultural town so the road was more than essential. If we continue encouraging such mindset then we are doomed.
