Kikuyu Accused of Hate Speech to be charged in court

Some Kikuyus are saying that the content of these songs is not that hateful ( Link to translations ). What can the Kikuyus in the house say?

You will swallow razor blades.

Taking one to court is one thing. Proving one guilty beyond reasonable doubt is another thing all together. Ask the Nandi accused of abuse of office.

(My apologies to the sane citizens for my above sentiments but that diatribe by KenyanLyric really pissed me off.)

Am no kiuk, but i think this hate speach business in kenya at the moment has gone too far. You cant even enjoy the tribal jokes of the 80s yawa.

@King, there is nothing to enjoy about those songs.

Have you asked yourself why we are so behind. Probably because of those tribal jokes of the 80's.

It's time to leave the fools behind and these 3 are definitely fighting very hard to go down the annals of Kenyan history as backward. The stetsons and crazy dance styles not withstanding.

Such a title for a thread goes to show how tribal we are. How hard would it have been to write the name of the musician instead of his tribe?

I agree @lyrics is out of order. I have always wondered why referring to someone as Kikuyu, Luo, Kamba seems offensive but referring to Maasais and Somalis by their tribe seems OK.

The fact is 3 kikuyu singers face hate speech charges,we cant say it any better,we didnt born them kiuks.
Last week maasai in kitengela killed 6 lions,note the tribe was MAASAI.
PERIOD!
