slow down on momentum...steadily rising supply against a not so strong demand... any purchase prior to March 23rd...3 months ago..is already at about 40% return on investment...that's hard not to cash in...

..a slight drop in price ain't so cool... psychological assumption it has hit ceiling..

..forget not profit warning. when do they announce results?
..Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven...Matt5:16

I see nothing wrong with the workers petition, in fact its a pre requisite from Puma to assure that the takeover does not result in Job losses...this is one of the smoothest takeovers I have seen...I will be worried when CMA or GoK tries to block it for some reason unknown...so cut the flack to the KK staff...it is where it is today because of the sacrifices of some of this staff.

Thank you for clarifying what I expect to see in (black) South Africa once this Euro crisis chews away jobs and folks realize they owned nothing but consumption.

Those are some of the most empowered Black people around...read Bee...affirmative action etc...its only in Kenya here where wealth is controlled by a few black individuals while the majority (black s) languish in poverty...Black on Black arpatheid...I see it with my own eyes...
Turns out some of the BEE folks are not the wananchi but the likes of connected individuals. When choosing a BEE partner, some firms were forced to go the 'political' route i.e. choosing political heavyweights or friends of politicians.

IMO, BEE was a sucker move, at the peak of economic strength - so you see ain't nothing nice where the global econ.is headed.

Many got shares through the BEE at discounted prices or through soft loans so the risk is minimal vs an 'external' investor. The BEE idea is a good one but it was misused as has happened with such 're-distribution' programs in most African countries including Kenya.

The euro zone crisis is affecting everyone even KK...in fact Kenya would be worst affected just look @ the aid component of the budget...look where CBR is and the debt to gdp figure (52% and rising)...there is little room for stimulation like in the previous crisis...oil @ $60/barrel...Turkana oil becomes less viable...this debts being incurred now will come home to roast...laugh @ Greece now...you might be next!!!

Kenya is way better off than Greece. If Germany dumps the Euro (or more likely) kick out Greece from the Euro then ka-boom for Greece.

I have asked myself why kenya can not buy crude reserves to last for a year now that crude is down and will rise again.
