Time for Park to go? If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Sceczeny and Vermalen to Barca, Sagna and Walcott to Chelsea, Song to Real Madrid and RVP to Juve. Who will be left in this team called Arsenal?

@Taz et al gunner fans, now you can see the reason why Arsenal underperforms... http://soccernet.espn.go...ucture-to-land-?cc=3888
Surely how can RvP earn just around the same with players like Chamakh and Almunia who don't even play??? There's no ambition to even become better and earn more! Rooney earns 200M - 250M pounds per week but guys like Giggs earn 70M pounds thereabouts while kina Wellbeck moved from a mere 15M pounds the other day to around 30M pounds. Players should be paid in view of contribution, age, work rate etc - how can you have a flat rate? It encourages lower earning players to work harder and play better so that they can negotatiate better rates at the end of their contract! Well, at least Arsenal have now wisened up, maybe it's a sign of better things to come from the North London club. BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

@Smano, that was bound to happen because of the changes in the transfet market. RVP was a benchwarmer two or three seasons back, he was not our main striker so there's no reason why he should have got more than his current wage. I believe most players in the club get a good salary based on their performance, work rate and what was negotiated when they signed. It only becomes kidogo when you consider the wages paid by City and Chelsea. Man Utd had to break their wage structure to keep Rooney who was on his way out, i'm sure he would not have got what he has had he not threatened to leave the club. Our main problem has been holding on to deadwood players like Almunia, Bendtner, Squillaci etc who end up straining the wage structure. Anyway from what came out from the CEO, i think RVP has already accepted the new contract.
ION Chelsea are set to lodge a 20m bid for Everton's Marouane Fellaini....i've always been of the opinion that this is probably the kind of player Man Utd need in Midfield. Chelsea hawataki mchezo, Hulk is still on the way.

Chelsea are rebuilding na wako na pesa...but I personally think Hulk going to Chelsea will be overkill...with Hazard, Mata and Torres in the mix and Marin, Lukaku, Sturridge et al, someone will get disgruntled sooner or later...but Lukaku will most likely be sent on loan. But this is what I was saying is unsustainable - how do you send a 20M + pound player on loan. @ Ric was arguing that Man Utd have been muscled out of the transfer market but if it as the risk of such deals then so be it. Is Oliver Giroud on his way to the Emirates? If this is true, it means Wenger has changed and will not call third place a trophy anymore... we are in for some good season assuming that he will bring in two or three more world class players.... http://www.arsenalinside...-arsenal/#axzz1xT867OrS

Gezz, i would put him in the next plane and give him spare change not to come back! But does that mean squillaci will go one rank up to fourth? I would rather risk with Miquel or Barley!! I do not want to see that gofer on an Arsenal shirt next season! The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Arsenal are set to announce Olivier Giroud as their next top signing. If RVP stays then we will have 3 world class strikers.
ION, Spurs have SACKED Harry Redknapp as Di Matteo is confirmed as the new Chelsea manager.....a two year, probably warming the seat for Pep Guardiola.

We now need a solid Right Back as cover for Sagna. Jenkinson haezi tosha Premier League! I was telling someone the same thing yesterday, only I meant YOU and not we...naona gooners expectations are rising with the signings. All the best this season, we need at least a 4 horse race for the title, good for the fans. That person who's willing to pay all that money for Djourou must be a genius or the biggest fool that walked the earth - time will tell.RvP's asking price must have fallen considerably after that horror of a oturnament for the Dutch. As for our camp, Rafael is getting a new deal while Fabio will be sent out on loan to QPR....at least he'll stay in the EPL. Hope we can then get Leighton Baines as permanent replacement for Evra though Jordi Alba would have been No. 1 on my wish list.I think for Man Utd what we just need is for the team to play another season together with everyone in defined roles e.g. Jones and Smalling and with Vidic, Anderson, Fletcher and Cleverley set to be hopefully in good condition,we'll still be there at the top, I'm not sure we'll dethrone City but we can win a trophy or two as we hopefully add on to the team to be competitive in CL in a couple of years ION, the EPL fixtures see us playing all the big teams in the first half of the season. Good to get them out of the way ASAP though we have a considerably more difficult run in April and May. Looking forward to it BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

@ Smano all teams have to face each other in the first half of the season. Jenkinson was signed to be Sagna's back up but after his nightmare performance against Man Utd at OT, Wenger decided to use Coquelin who has performed extremely well at right back.........he struggled a bit with his hamstring last season. What we need is a back up for Song and at the moment Yann M'Villa is the best candidate. He has already declared that he wants to sign for Arsenal but the the club is yet to agree terms with Rennes.

My bad, hapo nimenoa...I meant in succession i.e.Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle....then City and Arsenal in the same month (April)with Chelsea thereafter.
