DSTV Mobile (DRIFTA) - What They Dont Tell You

Before you rush and buy that DSTV mobile gadget - Drifta or Walka, you need to know a few things they will never tell you. 1. You can only use it 'where there is signal coverage'. When I called their customer care to complain i couldn't connect, they told me the signal is only available in 'some parts' of Nairobi and Mombasa. 2. You can only see a few channels - currently 15 - that include the Big Brother, KTN, Cartoon Network and some others I have never heard of. So if you thought you will see all the Premier channels - for the Premier subscribers, think twice. 3. Whether you are using a laptop, PC or mobile phone, the window to view is as small as a smart phone screen, maximum of around 10cm X 8cm - and you cannot enlarge it more than that! 4. Your phone or Laptop or PC has to be Wifi enabled. If you thought you could use it in that pre-'08 PC, you are in for a 'pleasant' surprise.
Otherwise, it is a brilliant service, if you are ready to live with the above

Nowadays magnifying glasses have their price with 60% being tax due to high importation tax, duty and vat so for those who don't want to feel cheated just tear a black veil and leave a hole of around 10cm X 8cm then cover your screen got the idea from buibui dressing

Otherwise, it is a brilliant service, if you are ready to live with the above This is correct. However if you use the same on an iPad or Galaxy Tab, it stretches to fit the screen size. Note that this is NOT in reference to the USB Drifta or Walka unit.
