KONZA LAND - 2 ACRES AND 10.8 ACRES

Location: CENTRAL PROVINCE
My aunt was a member of the Konza Ranching and Farming Sacco that sub divided the 22,000 acre ranch to its members.

She received 10.8 Acres farm land (allocation was via balloting) and 2 acres commercial plot. Just came back from taking her to the site (after several hours locating beacons!!)

She is disposing both parcels which are located as follows:

1. The 10.8 Acres farm land (she was allocated near muumandu market......near the sacco head offices for those who know the area) - This parcel am planning to buy from her but would be interested to know the market value for the 10.8 Acres.
2. The 2 acres commercial plot - She is a lucky old lady. She balloted and got a front row plot along mombasa road!! Her 2 acre commercial plot is just across the road from the fenced government Konza City. This parcel is up for sale. What is the market price (am her appointed dealer)?

Sorry SM I cannot answer your question but I can confuse you a little. If you are not buying the commercial plot yourself, then help your rela make a wise decision; not to sell the commercial one yet! I think it's not ripe.

She is in her late 70's and just wishes to cash in on the investment and enjoy her sunset years. Remember this sacco has been holding her equity for more than 40 years (the sacco was a Kenyatta era land acquisition vehicle by africans from the white settlers). The sub-division and allocation of the sacco land to individual shareholders has just unlocked value as far as she is concerned.
