And I think this should come with a warning because most of us are culprits..... please do not take medicines prescribed by friends without consulting your doctor, unless such friend is your doctor. However desperate, do not experience with your body or a body of someone who cant make a decision for themselves, like your children.

The pain is that the rashes are all gone and the face is smooth but now swollen and looking worse than was with the rashes.

yap, it's steroidal based and though antiinfalmmatory (partly why it was initially given) constant review is important especially for 'drug interactions'(any other meds used) and and it's own reactions/side effects...at times there benefit risk balancing but Time bound. Again constant review when on meds...not a one off administration n dispatch

@ Impunity

Apart from the skin condition which needs to be properly evaluated by a dermatologist, the current problems - facies, diabetes, skin fragility etc are recognised features of glucocorticoid excess, in this case the injections. She may have sustained some damage to her pituitary - adrenal axis and therefore needs urgent evaluation by an endocrinologist.

Guys, it may cost a little more than normal but please get into a habit of seeing a proper doctor.
These 'remedies' do not work most of the time.

I'm based in Leeds. Dr. Eva Njenga is a reputable endocrinologist in Nairobi who could be consulted.
