Quoting Wikipedia "In religion, a false prophet is one who falsely claims the gift of prophecy, or who uses that gift for evil ends."
Now let us look at what you are familiar with Deut 18:21-22, which puts a test.
Deut 18:21 says Whether thos things have been spoken by God or not.
Deut 18:22 says When prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing followed not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath spoken not.
Quran says whatever Allah says, it shall pass.
Now if you examine some verses from the Bible, people boasting about prophesies
Below are some of them:
1. When good news were giving to Mary about the birth of holy son. And the good news say "He will be great"
Luke 1:32-33 "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David[/i]"
- throne of his father David (he was ruler, King)
- Remember Jacob, later became Israel and his sons became children of Israel.
- The fulfillment: Instead of Jesus seating on throne of his father David, a pagan Pilate was seating on the seat.
John 18:36 - Jesus said my Kingdom is not for this world.
- What kingdom?
- It is heavenly kingdom
- spiritual kingdom
- Jesus is prophet of God
- he's ruler over hearts and minds of people
- not seating on the throne of his father David
- his father David was earthly throne
- giving judgement against people , slaughtering people according to his will
- he was a king and a ruler
- Jesus is a victim of that chair
Who's ruling over Israel now? Who's ruling over palestine? Jesus or the Jews?
You don't need any super inteligence to answer that. And you say this is fulfilment of prophesy.
2. God almighty gives false promises (God forbids)
God promises Abraham, that the Jews have a title deed to Palestine. Where is the title deed?
So they say it is in teh Bible.
God gave it to him.
When did He give?
They say look, it is in Genesis 17:8
If this is true, let us see what the Bible say.
Same Bible Hebrew 11:9-13
Then Acts 7:5 written by Luke says Abraham got not even enough to set his foot upon.
Is this the promise of God? Is this from God?
3. Mathew 10:23 Jesus tells his disciples, when they persecute you in this city, flee to another.
For assuredly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the son of man comes back (Jesus).
2000 years have gone. And they run and they run, the early Christians, and they died, and they were prosecuted, and they were looking up to the heaven for Jesus.
And even today, they are still waiting for Jesus, he has not come back yet. They have gone and perished.
Fulfillment of prophesy
4. Mark 13:26-27, Mark 13:30 Jesus said "This generation shall not pass, till all these things be done"
And they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
When? This generation, he's telling them.
And 2000 years have gone.
And nothing has happened yet.
In summary
Quoting Wikipedia "According to all Muslim scholars Muhammad is the final Prophet, thus anyone who has emerged or will emerge to be a new prophet after Muhammad is considered a false prophet. All mainstream Muslim scholars' perspectives from both Sunni and Shia sects do not see the second coming of of the Messiah as the coming of a new prophet, as the Islamic Messiah Jesus of Nazareth had already been an existing prophet, and will rule by the Qur'an and Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad, bringing no new revelation or prophecy."
So why have false prophets succeed in Christianity and fail in Islam? Do your research.
